"It's just me and him, and like I keep saying, I warned him."

A grandmother shot a masturbating bicyclist who was attempting to break into her Houston house, police said.

The 69-year-old woman, identified by local media as "Grandma Jean," was taking out the trash when she spotted the man bicycling down the street and yelled at him to stop and leave, according to police.

The two got into an argument, police said, and the man came up Grandma Jean's driveway while continuing to expose himself. She warned him to leave or she would get a gun and shoot him, but he continued walking toward her and reached for the front door, police said.

"Some guy pulled off his pants and pulled his pants open, playing with his thing, and he ran up and I told him to get away from my door, or I will shoot him," she told ABC13.

Grandma Jean, who had her young grandchildren in the house at the time, fired one shot through the door and hit the man in the chest.

"I don't bother nobody. I don't get in nobody's business," she said. "It's just me and him, and like I keep saying, I warned him."

The man tried to get back on his bike, but he only made it a few feet before collapsing. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was in critical condition but expected to survive, police said.

Neighbors told reporters they would have acted similarly in Grandma Jean's position.

“Protect your family,” a neighbor who asked not to be identified told KPRC-TV. “She did what she had to do.”

According to the Houston Chronicle, the man was arrested last week for allegedly exposing himself. Police said he would face unspecified charges and investigators were working to determine whether Grandma Jean would be charged.
